The Japanese Language Program is acknowledged by the Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education in Japan. For individuals, one to two year courses are offered and are designed to provide the student with a better understanding of Japan and its language through practical application of Japanese language skills acquired in class.
Classes are absolutely personally designed for every individual depending on his or her background and learning style.
The typical curriculum involves authentic communication in the target language, but also instructs students on important cultural aspects relating to life in Japan. Students are given the opportunity to participate in various Japanese cultural activities such as aikidou, traditional dance and music, calligraphy, judou and tea ceremony.
F.I.A. also provides Japanese language instruction for businesses. These courses can take place on-the-job, or at F.I.A. offices. These courses are tailored to suit client needs. Our courses instruct students in language for business purposes but also address the cultural issues necessary for effective communication and cultural understanding.
